Distributed Energy-Efficient Assembly Scheduling Problem with Transportation Capacity

The real-life assembly production often has transportation between fabrication and assembly, the capacity of machine is considered; however, previous works are mainly about two-stage distributed scheduling problems. In this study, a energy-efficient problem (DEASP) with investigated, in which dedicated parallel machines symmetry under given conditions, an used. An adaptive imperialist competitive algorithm (AICA) proposed to minimize makespan total energy consumption. A heuristic energy-saving rule used produce initial solutions. assimilation global search revolution implemented, neighborhood structures chosen dynamically, probability times decided by using solution quality. features also effectively. Computational experiments conducted on number instances. computational results demonstrate that new strategies AICA effective efficient can provide promising for considered DEASP.
